TOY DRIVE & FUNDRAISING
Greetings Fête Noire Family…
We support the Allegro Foundation. They're a champion for children with disabilities. The Fête Noire Family raised several thousand in 2023 for the charity, which supports the programming necessary to assist children and families in need. A simple “Thank you” doesn't do justice to what you've already done for this incredible Charity that's dear to our hearts and one that does so much for our community. A link to the Allegro Foundation website can be found in the section of links below. Please go and make a donation in any amount to the charity using #fetenoire for tracking.
TOYS!!!! We'd like to continue our tradition of collecting toys. Last year you made Christmas morning possible for 170 children of all different ages who received their entire Christmas thanks to your contributions. These toys are going to be distributed in Western NC on behalf of our Fête Noire Family. We collect toys in honor of Juanita Harrison, Thomas's mother. Like all of you, she had that giving heart and spirit. Anytime she received word or heard of some child who may not have experienced Santa on Christmas morning, she went out of her way and made sure that Santa visited that child and so many more. Many things in life put a smile on Juanita’s face… but nothing made her happier than ensuring the excitement that a child experiences when opening a package during the Christmas season. So many children have been devastated by the impact of Helene in the mountains of NC and our contributions might give them a bright spot in their lives as they work toward recovery.

You can place an order with Amazon, Walmart, Target, or any store of your choice and have them delivered directly to our home or drop them by in person.
Our goal would be to have all toys delivered or dropped off by mid-November to ensure that we can get the donations to the church handling dispersal to the children for the holidays.

Annual
Toy Drive
We collect these gifts and will deliver them to children in the devastated areas of Western, NC. We honor the late memory of Thomas's mother, Juanita. She was always involved in community outreach, whether it was an annual angel tree, thanksgiving preparation, Christmas meal or driving a church bus.
Allegro
Foundation
Allegro teaches over 800 children annually who have intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, autism, orthopedic challenges (wheelchairs and walkers), spina bifida, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, muscular dystrophy, visual and hearing impairments, children “at-risk”, and children living with cancer in FREE classes every week!
Allegro’s basic philosophy emphasizes the total learning process by combining cognitive and muscle memories to stimulate sequential and conceptual learning, problem-solving skills and communication, while also building motor skills/physical coordination, and eliciting strong emotional and physiological changes in the body.
